Using advanced acoustic technology, we can locate both plastic, non-conductive, and metallic water lines under pressure—giving us the ability to work around the limitations of traditional EM (electromagnetic) locating.

Where Acoustic Locating Excels
Not every utility can be traced with EM methods alone. That’s where acoustical locating proves invaluable, especially in situations like these:

• Well lines – typically black plastic material often found on farms

• Poly water services – thicker plastic material where tracer wire is absent

• AC pipe (Asbestos Cement) – another common non-conductive water main material

• Conductive water lines with repairs – especially when signal continuity is disrupted

• Conductive water lines with complete breaks – where a larger gap under the repair band may not allow EM signal to continue
